Back when we were sick the first time, my new friend Nina at Juggling Mama tagged me in a meme. I am supposed to list 6 random facts about myself and then tag 6 friends. Ever since, I've had random facts rolling about in my brain and I'm finally ready to let them out! (I hope I can remember six of them!)
1. I reload the dishwasher behind my husband's back. Every. Day. I don't know why it matters, because I usually get annoyed and run it before it is totally full anyways, but I can't stand for the dishwasher space to be used inefficiently. It drives me CRAZY. And I really think my husband knows it and does it on purpose. He likes to torture me like that.
2. I heart crispy bacon... although I'm pretty sure my heart does not heart it. And not crispy like when a menu claims an item contains "crispy bacon" and then it comes and it's all bendy. No. My bacon must not bend.
3. Sometimes I get all frustrated with myself that I'm not doing all the amazing things I remember my mom doing when I was little. Making crafts, having super fun birthday parties, baking all the time. Then I realize that I was probably at least 7 or 8 when I did all those things with my mom. Not three like my daughter. I've still got time. (And please don't correct me if I'm wrong, mom.)
4. I hate the phone. I can't even order pizza without a mini panic attack. If I could do everything online, I probably would. And I probably would wither away and die from lack of exposure to the outside world.
5. I love to read. I especially love to read a book I can't put down. I love falling asleep reading. I haven't read a book since JJ was born. I read magazines by leaving them on the counter in the bathroom so I can read one paragraph every time I pee and maybe half an article when I brush my teeth. Reading blogs by iPod touch is pretty much the only real reading I get to do these days.
6. I love cruises. I have been on three now. Our honeymoon to Baja Mexico in 2002, a family ladies' cruise to the Mexican Riviera in 2004, and my mom's wedding cruise to Mexico/Carribean in 2006. I'm having harsh cravings for another lately.

Six random facts about me? Well let's see..hmmm...
ReplyDelete1. I really love Chocolate! (so much that it need a capital-c). I will dream up any excuse - and I do mean any - to have chocolate. Recently, I offered to bring chocolate cake to a party...just to have chocolate!, well and also because the hosts and other guests also like chocolate cake too.
2. I also love to read. I'll try any book once, and if it's good, I'll read it again...and again...and again. I like to read so much that I have actually been caught reading a dictionary! It all starts innocently enough - I need to know how to spell a word or find out what a word means and then I get distracted by the plethora of words at my fingertips.
3. I really love winter. Not so much the snow and the crazy drivers - people actually try to drive with summer tires on. Apparently the snow just sneaks up on them. People also have really short term memories because they don't remember the snow from last year and the fiasco of trying to drive through it in summer tires - but the extra blankets on the bed (I love the weight of a pile of blankets when I go to sleep) and the opportunity to cross stitch or knit or quilt (by machine - I'm not patient enough to hand sew anything!) or read.
4. I am a nerd, and proud of it! You hadn't guessed that yet had you?
5. I talk A LOT (I know you are surprised just from the length of my facts!). I love to talk and share my thought with people and make people laugh, because there is really nothing better than sharing a really good laugh with a friend. However, I am also a good listener.
6. I really enjoy my job. I work with great people and as an office assistant, there is a lot of variety.

ReplyDelete6 random facts about me. I had to give this some thought because I don't think I'm really that interesting!
ReplyDelete1. I race sled dogs for over 10 years as a child/ teen. I still miss the calm of being out in the cold and snow with just the dogs and myself. Ahhhh...
2. I am moving to Australia in January for a year and I am absolutely terrified. People ask me if I excited about it and I just smile and say yes. Really, the thought of leaving my comfy home for the unknown makes me want to throw up!
3. I have 3 beautiful daughters that have 3 very distinctly different personalities. Sometimes I have to switch my thought pattern so quickly it makes me dizzy but I love the way they each have of thinking, feeling and loving.
4. I love old movies. John Wayne,Bonanza type shows. I could watch nothing but that and skip the whole HD thingy.
5. Number 3 makes me want to cry when I re-read it.
6. I love making lists. I have lists on sticky notes on my kitchen cupboard and it makes my husband crazy. I keep a notebook in my purse so that I can write down things as I think of them. Oh yeah and a fancy pen so I can feel good while I write it all down! GEEK!

ReplyDelete1. My taste in music is very broad, which I get made fun of all the time for, but I dont care. From Celine Dion to slipnot and right over to the best dance music there is out there.
2. There's no better sound in the world to me then comming home to hear little foot steps running towards me screaming da-ie!
3. I can watch the same movie over and over again, and then watch it again. I have yet to find a movie I liked the first time that I havent liked the 25th time. They never get old to me.
4. Trying to write down six random facts about myself is really hard for me.
5. I hate traffic, busy places and crowds. Everyone who knows me knows that its not fun to be around me in a busy place or traffic jammed car.
6. I love to play games. I love hiding on my wife and scaring her. Playing tricks on anyone, including the dog. I love guessing games and trivia. I'd like to see who knows who I am if I leave this anonymous.
