KK: Babies not get made. They just grow in your tummy.
Mommy: Well, how do they get in there? (I know. I'm setting myself up for trouble. But I actually believe that the earlier we start this conversation, the easier and less awkward it will be. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong!)
KK: (Exasperated sigh) You go at the hop-sital and then you get a baby in your tummy.
Mommy: But how does the baby get in there?
KK: The people at the hop-sital, them put it in there. Then you go home. Then you go back to the hop-sital and you push the baby out. And then you have a baby!
KK on sour cream:
Mommy: Do you want sour cream with your taquitos?
KK: No. I not want those. I just want sammer pream (sour cream). I like sammer pream with chetch-ap (ketchup).
Mommy: Sour cream with ketchup? You have never had those two things together before!
KK: But I do like it. And sometimes, I just like sammer pream by itself, with soya sauce on top. Yep. It good like that.

KK on growing up:
KK: When you get growed up, you not have a mommy or daddy anymore... because you're big. But when you not growed up yet, then you still have a mommy and daddy because you love them ssssssoooooooooo much.
Heehee, little miss weenut is too cute! It is so neat that you have this posted, so you can look back at it down the road and won't forget. Should be interesting when JJ starts talking, I bet he'll give you some blog fodder!
ReplyDeleteFrom the mouth of babes!
ReplyDeleteI love 'sammer pream' too, but not with chech-ap or soy sauce :/
Thanks for posting these snapshots of your interactions with KK - they brought a smile to my face!

How cute!!!! I love when they talk about things and try explaining them to us. The food combo's were pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteWhen the Tongginator was two, she would argue that babies came from China. It was then that I started using the words first family and began consciously expanding our circle of friends to include non-China-adoptive-families.
